At the age of twelve, shortly after falling asleep, she began to leave her body. Accompanied by intense trembling in the neck, numbness throughout the body, and paralysis of the hands. The journey had begun. In the morning, everything was stable. There was no trace of the nightly experiences. She ate her breakfast and went to school feeling fit. For one month, this occurred almost every night, with short breaks in between. Afterwards, the journeys returned less frequently but became more intense – it was a struggle that accompanied her until the age of thirty-two.

The book moves at the intersection between neurophysiological processes and the individual subjective experience of “journeying.”
